Pitcairn Vest

Pitcairn is an open front vest. It is worked in an all-over slipped stitch pattern: relaxing and meditative, not a purl in sight, but with the right amount of interest to keep you entertained and delighted at the pattern you are making.
The garment is knit in a whim in luxurious 100% Romney lambswool from The Fibre Co
The fabric is gloriously soft and delicate after blocking, worked in the prettiest pink shade. It features and an optional belt and two pockets framed by a tiny moss stitch border. The button band is picked up along the edges and up to the collar. This garment is worked seamlessly from the bottom up.

4 mm / US 6 - 80 cm / 32” circular needles for ribbing, neckband and hem or 2-sizes below-gauge needle size.
3.75 mm /US 5- 80 cm / 32” circular needles for the body (or the necessary size to achieve gauge).
Gauge
23 sts x 38 rnd = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in pattern motive on larger sized needles and after blocking.
